Go-To Work Makeup Look

I work in an office setting, so my go-to work makeup look has to be clean and professional. Many people either have work guidelines or can express themselves freely. I don’t have strict guidelines at work, but since it is a law firm, I try my best to look as professional as possible.I love that I can choose different outfits throughout the week, whether it’s heels or sneakers, depending on my mood. Regardless, it’s important to feel and look confident at work. Making it a habit to look and feel your best can make a difference throughout your entire day.

My makeup approach for a professional setting is clean and simple. I prefer a buildable skin tint, great coverage concealer, and a bit of blush to add color to my face. Paired with my favorite lip liner and lip gloss, I’m good to go. Don’t forget to balance professionalism with personal style—mix up your lip combo, try a different blush color, or play with a neutral eyeshadow palette.

My Step-by-Step Go-To Work Makeup Look

Base: I use the Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint Blurring Elixir Foundation. This skin tint is lightweight and breathable, and it’s buildable if you need extra coverage. It’s also Yuka-approved.

For concealer, I reach for the Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid. Its creamy formula provides great coverage and really brightens my under-eyes. It’s also approved on Yuka.

Eyes: I use the Morphe Micro Brow Dual-Ended Pencil & Spoolie in the shade Latte. Sadly, this isn’t Yuka-approved, so I’m still on the hunt for a new eyebrow pencil. However, this has been my go-to for a long time.

I vary whether I wear mascara, but one thing is for sure: I always curl my eyelashes. When I do wear mascara to work, I use ILIA Limitless Lash Lengthening Clean Mascara. It’s Yuka-approved and features an easy-to-use brush applicator.

Cheeks & Lips: I apply Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the shade Hope. It’s the perfect shade for a natural pink look. I love all of Rare Beauty’s blushes; their formula is amazing and very blendable. Plus, they’re Yuka-approved.

I mix up different lip liners and glosses all the time. My favorites are Rare Beauty lip liners, MAC lip liner pencils, and Charlotte Tilbury lip liners. I also have too many lip glosses, but my top two are the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss and NYX Butter Gloss Non-Sticky Lip Gloss. Both offer a wide range of shades to choose from.

Tips for Long-Lasting Wear

Tips for keeping your makeup on all day include using a good setting spray and making sure your base is fully moisturized and primed. I also like to keep a mini version of the Kosas concealer for touch-ups throughout the day, along with lip liner and lip gloss always on hand.

That is my go-to work makeup tips and products, you can effortlessly achieve a professional look that suits your style—stay tuned for more insights and tips in The 20 Something Handbook!
